"Nice Talk Music" by Shahram Gholami is a continuation of the first collection, presenting twenty compositions for oud, fully notated, composed, and performed by the artist. Some of the pieces are inspired by Iranian folk music, where local techniques and melodies are subtly referenced, integrated, or "translated" into the language of the oud. Through the expansion and development of these melodies, new techniques and qualities have emerged, offering freshness and innovation to oud players. Both in the folk-inspired pieces and the others, the collection reflects a deeply personal and emotional expression, resembling a life story where logic and emotions alternate. This work combines the richness of tradition with a contemporary touch, making it a valuable resource for oud players and enthusiasts of Iranian music.
